Welcome to No, Seriously... I'm Jen Logan. These are my adventures, experiences and opinions. If you are new to the site and can't decide if you want to send me gifts because you think I am so awesome, or send my husband an escape plan because you feel so bad for him - I recommend a few stories to get to know me.

I listen to great music! I also remember pretty much every life event I have had by what music was streaming in my head at the time.

I screw things up a lot! I'm okay with this. The more you screw things up, the less people ask you to do. The things I am good at, I'm pretty damn good at.

My husband is a saint! He truly is. He has stuck it out with me for almost thirteen years now.

Being a parent is the greatest gift in the World! It is also the messiest and scariest gift I have ever received.

Do You Even Lift Bro?

Do You Even Lift Bro?

I have a love/hate relationship with the gym. It's not for the obvious reasons though. Most people don't like the actual work that is done at the gym but they love the results. I love working out, I just hate that it has to be with other people. The gym I go to is...

Negative Creep

Negative Creep

Have you ever been around someone who is so negative that they literally suffocate any room they are in with their heavy attitude? You can just feel the bad vibes radiating from them and all of a sudden you can't breathe. They tiptoe up with their giant pillow to...

Pretty Vacant

Pretty Vacant

In our house we meditate. We practice both individually and together. If you have met me, I know this is probably hard to believe - but can you imagine what a spaz I would be without meditation? At night before my daughter goes to bed we all meditate together in her...

Password Protected

Like all good parents we have password protected our devices, including my daughter's Kindle, to prevent her from online shopping and/or purchasing apps or games by herself. You wouldn't think a six year old is able to online shop, but she sees a lot of it going on in...

It’ll Eat You From the Inside Out

Kids are kind of creepy. Once they finally stop spewing bodily fluids out of every orifice after those toddler years, they start spitting out teeth like an MMA fighter. My six year old lost her top two teeth this week after horrifying her grandparents for the week...

Miss World

I hate when my husband asks questions like "Can I trust you to make a reasonable decision?" I want to respond with a question of my own - Are you new here? Of course you cannot trust me to make a reasonable decision. Reasonable is not exactly in my wheel house. I'm...

We’re Gonna Make You a Star

We’re Gonna Make You a Star

Over the last year my daughter has become intrigued by YouTube. She started watching a woman who bakes and does silly challenges like "not my arms" and a bunch of blindfolded food tasting. Some of the videos are funny, some are stupid and some actually teach my kid...

What’s a Kid’s Menu?

When I was a little girl one of my favorite things to do was go out to dinner at fancy restaurants. My parents and their best friends traveled together often with me and my "cousin" who was a year older than me. We ate lavish dinners while on vacation in places like...

Punk Rock Music Will Save Your Soul!

I don't know how old I was when I fell in love with music, but I was young. I don't remember a time when there was not music in my house. As a child I heard a lot of the Beatles and Beach Boys, Elvis and Neil Diamond. I remember driving on winter days with my Dad,...

Pick Your Battles

Pick Your Battles

My husband and I agree on most parenting decisions. One thing we differ on is where we eat meals. I let my kid sit on the family room couch and watch television with a bowl of cereal on most mornings. It is how she eases into her day. I know it is being lazy but I'm...

She’s a Giver

She’s a Giver

We went trick or treating on Halloween night with some friends. Unfortunately my little girl is kind of lazy and her trick or treat bag was a tad longer than her legs so she spent a large portion of the night dragging her bag next to her. I kept trying to have her...
