Welcome to No, Seriously... I'm Jen Logan. These are my adventures, experiences and opinions. If you are new to the site and can't decide if you want to send me gifts because you think I am so awesome, or send my husband an escape plan because you feel so bad for him - I recommend a few stories to get to know me.

I listen to great music! I also remember pretty much every life event I have had by what music was streaming in my head at the time.

I screw things up a lot! I'm okay with this. The more you screw things up, the less people ask you to do. The things I am good at, I'm pretty damn good at.

My husband is a saint! He truly is. He has stuck it out with me for almost thirteen years now.

Being a parent is the greatest gift in the World! It is also the messiest and scariest gift I have ever received.

Dance Yourself Clean

Dance Yourself Clean

Cleaning is not my favorite thing to do. In fact, it is something I dislike so much that I am willing to pay someone else to do it, which is exactly what I did until recently. It was decided that since I am now home more that there is no need to pay someone else to...

For Whom the Bell Tolls

For Whom the Bell Tolls

My Mom has a bell that sits on a table in her family room. Last month my daughter was playing with it and my husband started saying "bring me my chair!" My daughter, of course, looked at him like he was crazy and went about her business. After he said this three...

Get in the Van

Get in the Van

My friend texted me the other day that she got a new car. She didn't notice her new license plate until she was approaching her car from the rear at Costco. The license plate began with "BJ" which made her want to drive right back to the dealership and return the car....

No More Words

I love the way my seven year old daughter's brain works. In many ways she is like an adult already, but she lacks life experience and she perceives things a bit differently than I do. The other night we were talking about the activities surrounding lent at her school....

You Say It’s Your Birthday

I was born in July. I never knew how lucky my parents were to have a summer baby until I had a child in March and started to throw birthday parties. The weather in Michigan in March is as fickle as Taylor Swift. The day of my daughter's first birthday party in 2012...

I Like Food

I Like Food

I very rarely eat fast food. Questionable animal parts in a grease soaked bag is not my idea of tasty. I have an occasional breakfast from a cheap eats establishment before an early morning flight, or pick up a burger and frosty for my daughter after she badgers me...

Am I Demon

Am I Demon

I don't know why I always identify with the villain, but since I was a kid I have always felt a certain camaraderie with the "bad guy". I have always been drawn to people who are clever and ingenious. I like someone who is quick witted and a little cynical and if he...

Cherry Bomb

Cherry Bomb

People who know me know that I tend to be pretty direct. I don't beat around the bush. This is either a gift or a curse, depending on how you look at it. I like to think of it as a gift. This is probably because I don't really care much about what people think of me....

Every Breath You Take

My child is stalking a guy on my meditation app. At the end of the meditation a screen appears with a congratulations and a list of people who were using the app at the same time. When the meditation ends, my daughter immediately picks up the phone to look at all of...

Bleach

Bleach

As I lie in bed last night reading my book I could smell bleach as if there was a bowl of it sitting next to me. I thought maybe it was coming from the bathroom where I had cleaned earlier in the night so I walked in to take a sniff, however, there was no bleach smell...

Adventure Time

What do you do when an adventure is in front of you? Do you take it or do you look for every reason to say "I can't"? I come from an adventurous family. We traveled a lot when I was growing up and it was always an adventure. My Dad was the kind of guy who would jump...

That’s What She Said

That’s What She Said

My six year old just handed me her cup that she had filled almost to the top with sparkling fruit water and said "here Mom, have a drink." I knew this was because she had overfilled her cup so I asked her if she needed me to drink some so she could carry it into the...
